There is a limit of 2 items the very first time you check out with a new card.
After your first checkout, you may check out up to 3 DVDs and 4 VHS tapes, four audio books (cassette or CD), and four music CDs per card. There is a checkout limit of 50 items per library card.
-Items other than VHS and DVDs may be renewed in person, by phone, or online. (See below for video information.)
-LIMIT: 2 renewals per item. Items cannot be renewed if they are on reserve for someone else or if they are more than 14 days overdue.
-To renew an item in person, present item and library card at Circulation Desk.
-To renew by phone, supply library card number.
-To renew online, go to the online catalog and click My Account. Enter your library card number and PIN (the default PIN is the last four digits of your card number and can be changed after signing in). This will bring up a record of what is checked out. Check the boxes next to the items you wish to renew and click "Renew Checked Items."
We do not renew VHS movies or DVDs. They are checked out for seven days at no charge and after seven days the overdue charge is $1.00 per day per video--still a better deal than practically any video rental store.
Yes. Books, articles, and microfilm are available through Interlibrary Loan. Call Wanda at 353-2993 extension 111. The cost per item is : Books $3.00, Articles 1-10 pages $1.00, more than 10, 10 cents per page. Microfilm--Cost of postage. Have your library card ready.
We currently have 25 adult and 4 children's public computers with internet access and Microsoft Office 2007 applications. They also allow access to services such as the Alabama Virtual Library, and ebooks through EBSCOhost ebooks and Camellia Net.
If you have a current library card from Decatur or Eva you simply enter your card number on any available computer. Exceptions include expired cards and cards with fines exceeding $5.00. Each patron is allowed up to two hours of computer access per day (one hour on Sundays), although we can not guarantee computer availability.
Copies cost 10 cents per page. Our copy machine takes nickels and dimes. Printouts from the computers are also 10 cents per page.
